HOW I WORK
We talk on the phone to see if we're a good fit to work together. Bring your questions to a quick 15 minute call where I learn what you're currently dealing with and what your goals are for your family.
A comprehensive interview where we take a deep dive into the challenges you and your family are facing. We talk about what you've already tried, what your goals are for your family, and how you'd like to get there.
I review your child's educational file and history so I can get a full picture of what's been going on. Then I'll come up with a plan to to help you reach your goals and heal your family.
You can continue on your own or work with me as an advocate and guide. The cost of the Advocacy Map is applied to the full project if you move forward to my Learning Adventure services.
$500
Based on your Advocacy Map interview, I work with you to advocate for your child to get them the services that they need.
I work with the school to find a solution, sometimes drawing on other experts in the field to help figure out the best outcome. We work together to not only secure services, but also to address issues that learning differences can create within your family unit and in the greater community to empower your child to live their fullest life.
With a focus on holistic healing, we help heal the family as a whole and reduce the stress and strife these differences can create, giving everyone a clear path forward to a brighter future.

My Unique Approach
Rainmaker is uniquely different as we look to make lasting and far-reaching changes for children and their families.
I believe success in school is only one part of leading a child toward a successful future. I look to improve all aspects of a child's life to create lasting change.
These additional supports can include medical, psychological, social/emotional supports, educational, confidence building, connecting to community, gained independence, reinforcing strengths, and a connection with nature.
Even if you experience conflict or disagreement with a school district, the reality is that you must find a way to collaborate and work as a team to ensure the best outcomes for your child and family.
My experience working in schools on both sides of the table – as both a teacher and an administrator – helps in resolving conflict or "bad blood" with a district and build a bridge of lasting collaboration to help your child and the family not only receive the services your child requires, but a road map to future skills and success.
It may be hard to believe, but many educational advocates never meet the children they are advocating for!
If you don't know what makes a child who they are and don’t understand their "islands of competency," you can’t truly help build an environment that fosters their growth and independence as an individual.
My experience has taught me firsthand how using the power of nature can build confidence, concentration, skills, and lasting change.
I believe a mindful connection with the outdoors is crucial for cultivating a balanced, inspired, and fulfilled life. Nature can have a major impact on learning, behavior, attention, regulation, and ability to quiet negative self talk. Getting back or into nature is the path toward learning and loving oneself.
